FAQ's

When is the balance for camp due?
All registrations received before June 1st, must be paid in full by June 1st.  A late fee in the amount of $25 will automatically be added to your balance if the entire balance is not received by the due date.   Stanford Soccer is proud to be one of the only camps that offers a payment plan option.  We will work with you to ensure your camper balance is paid in full by the deadline.

How do I pay my balance and where do I send it?
To pay your balance, you can simply mail a check directly to the Stanford Soccer Camp Office. Our administrative office address is:

Stanford Soccer Academy-Admin. Office
879 E. Hamilton Avenue
Campbell, CA 95008

If you are making monthly payments, you will be emailed a payment plan along with instructions. Payments should also be made to the above address. All final balances must be received 14 days prior to the first day of camp.

Are all the camps located on the Stanford campus?
YES, all instructions are conducted on Stanford athletic facilities located on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, California. Stanford Soccer Academy campers will primarily use Cagan Soccer Field. The field is the same field that the Stanford Men's and Women's soccer teams use. There are also a number of other excellent grass fields used during each camp located in the Stanford Athletics complex.

What does each camper receive?
Each summer youth academy camper receives a Nike camp T-shirt and a Nike Soccer Ball. Every summer Junior Elite and College ID & Development camper will receive (2) Nike T-shirts and a Nike Soccer Ball.

Do half-day campers need to bring a snack and/or lunch?
All half-day campers should bring a snack for our break time.  The Youth Academy campers must bring a sack lunch daily.

Does my child need to bring his or her own water?
Water and Gatorade stations will be placed on the field and water will always be available for the campers. However, we strongly encourage all our campers to bring their own water bottle to help reduce the environmental impact of throwing away paper cups after each trip to the water jugs.

What happens if my child is injured or sick during camp?
Qualified trainers will be on duty for the duration of all camps to care for minor injuries and illness. Parents or guardians will be contacted immediately if there is a serious injury or a child needs to leave camp early for a medical reason. Please make a notation on the health form if there is any medical condition we should be aware of in advance of the camper¹s attendance to our soccer academies. Our athletic trainer will be available for questions on the first day of each camp and throughout the week.

If it rains, will camp be cancelled?
No, the camps will not be cancelled.

What if my child is sick or injured and cannot attend camp? Do I get a cash refund?
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be requested in writing in order to receive either a camp voucher, applicable to the 2013 Soccer Academy or a cash refund. Your email request must be submitted to us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Refunds and vouchers will be less a $150 administrative fee. CANCELLATION notices received after May 15, 2012 will only be eligible for a voucher for our 2013 summer camps less the $150 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations within 2 weeks of camp without a written doctors certificate. Once the doctors certificate is received your refund will be calculated less the cancellation fee of $150.00 plus any out of pocket expenses (i.e., housing charges, dining charges, etc.) already incurred by the camp. If your child becomes sick or injured during camps you will be entitled to a prorated refund from the time you check-out of camp less any non-refundable camp charges (i.e., housing charges, dining charges, etc.) incurred by the camp. If camp is not notified of cancellation prior to start of camp, full tuition will be forfeited.

What should I bring to camp, and what should I wear?
Players are strongly recommended to wear shinguards and cleats, although it is not mandatory for our half-day camps. Players should wear shorts and a T-shirt, but should pack something warm to wear in case of cooler weather or rain. Day campers should also bring a snack or lunch. The California sun is very hot and we highly recommend the use of sun block. Please be sure to bring enough clothes and socks for the entire camp. Campers will not have access to laundry facilities. Overnight campers should bring sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag, plus a pillow and towel and any toiletries they may need. A camper information packet will be emailed to you approximately 2 weeks prior to camp and it contains a detailed listing of what you will need.

How can I reserve a space in the Junior or College ID Academy?
Resident campers may reserve a space with a $250 deposit along with a completed application packet. There are a limited number of spaces available during each camp.

My child is a goalkeeper. Will you have goalkeeper coaches for his or her specialized training?
Yes, specialized goalkeeper training will be conducted during each camp week by our excellent goalkeeping staff. For the first two sessions of each day, the field players are trained together and the goalkeepers are taken aside and trained as a group.

Can I fax in my application?
Yes, but there's really no reason to.  We must receive your original forms (along with your payment) in order to secure your child a spot in any of the camps.  We will not hold a spot for a camper off of a fax request with no payment.  We must receive your payment and/or deposit before the registration will be confirmed. Our fax number is 408.559.0123.

Can I pay by credit card?
No. In order to keep our camp increases to a minimum, we have discontinued taking credit cards. All payments must be made by cash, check or money order. Payment plans are available for the Junior Academy and College ID & Development Camps.

Are there any group discounts?
Yes. If you have a team of ten or more, you will receive a $35 per camper discount for our overnight camps (Junior Academy and College ID and Development Camp) and a $15 per camper discount for our day camps (Youth Academy). All applications must be mailed in together.

What airport is best to fly into?
Either San Francisco (SFO) or San Jose (SJC). Both are approximately 25-30 minutes from campus.

Do you offer a shuttle service to take campers to and from the airport?
We will be offering a shuttle service to and from the campus for the College ID Camp only.  This is NOT included in the fees.  You will be sent separate information on the shuttle service once your registration is received.

Are campers required to wear the apparel they are given?
Each camper can wear any soccer equipment they wish. There will be some instances where each camper will have to wear their Nike t-shirt.

Do the campers receive a written evaluation?
Yes, those campers participating in our College ID & Development Camp will receive a written evaluation form their head camp counselor on the final day of camp.

Can I request a roommate? Can friends have a room near each other?
Yes, we try to honor roommate requests in nearly every case. Both campers must request each other. We will also try to locate friends near each other if possible.

What is the Key Deposit?
A $145.00 Key Deposit will be required from each residential camper. The Key Deposit must be written on a separate check from the camp tuition or submitted on the credit card authorization form. Upon receiving notification from housing (usually 3-5 days after camp) that your childs key deposit has been returned, we will (a) shred your check if paid by check; (b) shred your credit card authorization form, if guaranteed by credit card; (c) charge your credit card or deposit your check if your child lost his/her dorm key. If writing a separate check, please make your check payable to "Stanford Soccer Academy".

Will I receive notification that I've been accepted into the camp?
Yes, a confirmation email will be sent to you within 7 days of receipt of payment. If you haven't received a confirmation email, please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it so we can begin investigating the problem.
