Are all the camps located on the Stanford campus?
YES, all instructions are conducted on Stanford athletic facilities located on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, California. Stanford Soccer Academy campers will primarily use Cagan Soccer Field. This is the same field that the Stanford Men's and Women's soccer teams use. There are also a number of other excellent grass fields used during each camp located in the Stanford Athletics complex.

What does each camper receive?
Each summer Youth Academy camper receives a Nike camp T-shirt and a Nike Soccer Ball. Every summer Junior Elite and College ID & Development camper will receive (2) Nike T-shirts and a Nike Soccer Ball.

Do half-day campers need to bring a snack and/or lunch?
All half-day campers should bring a snack for our break time.  The full-day campers must bring a sack lunch daily.

Does my child need to bring his or her own water?
Water and Gatorade stations will be placed on the field and water will always be available for the campers. However, we strongly encourage all our campers to bring their own water bottle to help reduce the environmental impact of throwing away paper cups after each trip to the water jugs.

What happens if my child is injured or sick during camp?
Qualified trainers will be on duty for the duration of all camps to care for minor injuries and illness. Parents or guardians will be contacted immediately if there is a serious injury or a child needs to leave camp early for a medical reason. Please make a notation on the medical portion of your registration if there is any medical condition we should be aware of in advance of the camper's attendance to our soccer academies. Our athletic trainer will be available for questions on the first day of each camp and throughout the week.

If it rains, will camp be cancelled?
No, the camps will not be cancelled.

What if my child is sick or injured and cannot attend camp? Do I get a cash refund?

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be requested in writing in order to receive either a camp voucher, applicable to the 2021 Soccer Academy or a camp refund. Your email request must be submitted to us at camps@stanfordsoccer.com. All refunds and vouchers will be less a $150 administrative fee.  Registration fees from Active will not be credited.

CANCELLATION notices received after May 15, 2020 will only be eligible for a voucher for our 2021 summer camps less the $150 administrative fee. No refunds or vouchers will be granted for cancellations within 2 weeks of camp without a written doctor's certificate. Once the doctor's certificate is received, your refund will be calculated less the cancellation fee of $150.00 plus any out of pocket expenses (i.e., housing charges, dining charges, etc.) already incurred by the camp. If your child becomes sick or injured during the camp, you will be entitled to a prorated refund from the time your child checks out of camp, less any non-refundable camp charges (i.e., housing charges, dining charges, etc.) incurred by the camp. If we are not notified in writing of your cancellation “prior to the start of the camp”, any/all tuition paid will be forfeited.  All camp expenses will be closed 30 days following camp.  No credits or refunds will be issued after 8/30/2020.

What should I bring to camp, and what should I wear?
Players are strongly recommended to wear shin-guards and cleats, although it is not mandatory for our half-day camps. Players should wear shorts and a T-shirt, but should pack something warm to wear in case of cooler weather or rain. Day campers should also bring a snack or lunch. The California sun is very hot and we highly recommend the use of sun block. Please be sure to bring enough clothes and socks for the entire camp. Campers will not have access to laundry facilities. Overnight campers should bring sheets and blankets or a sleeping bag, plus a pillow and towel and any toiletries they may need. A camper information packet will be emailed to you approximately 2 weeks prior to camp which contains a detailed listing of what you will need to bring to camp.

How can I reserve a space in the Junior or College ID Academy?
Campers may reserve a space with a $250 deposit along with their registration. There are a limited number of spaces available during each camp.

My child is a goalkeeper. Will you have goalkeeper coaches for his or her specialized training?
Yes, specialized goalkeeper training will be conducted during each camp week by our excellent goalkeeping staff. For the first two sessions of each day, the field players are trained together and the goalkeepers are taken aside and trained as a group.

Can I fax in my application?
No, you will need to register online or submit your registration forms by mail. We no longer accept these by fax.

Are there any group discounts?
Yes. If you have a team of ten or more, you will receive a $35 per camper discount for our overnight camps (Junior Academy and College ID and Development Camp) and a $15 per camper discount for our day camps (Youth Academy). Please email us at camps@stanfordsoccer.com to receive instructions for registering a team.

What airport is best to fly into?
Either San Francisco (SFO) or San Jose (SJC). Both are approximately 25-30 minutes from campus.

What time should I schedule my camper to arrive?
We recommend that you schedule your incoming flight to arrive in the bay area anytime between 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.  This will give them ample time for the camper to reach Stanford before the 3:00 pm check in.  The outbound flight should be scheduled on the final day of camp anytime after 2:00 pm.  This will allow the camper to get checked out and to their shuttle immediately following camp.

Do you offer a shuttle service to take campers to and from the airport?
You are free to coordinate with any shuttle service you like, however we recommend Limo Fiesta in San Jose.  They have worked with Stanford Soccer in the years past and do an excellent job tracking the campers to and from Stanford University.  You will need to coordinate the campers pick up and delivery directly with them.  If interested, here is their information:

Fiesta Limo, LLC
Website: www.limofiestallc.com

Are campers required to wear the apparel they are given?
Each camper can wear any soccer equipment they wish. There will be some instances where each camper will have to wear their Nike T-shirt.

Do the campers receive a written evaluation?
Yes, those campers participating in our College ID & Development Camp will receive a written evaluation form from their head camp counselor on the final day of camp.

Can I request a roommate? Can friends have a room near each other?
Yes.  We will try to honor roommate requests in nearly every case. Both campers must request each other when registering.  When there’s a group of friends coming together, we will do our best to place everyone close to one another.  However, we cannot guarantee a request.  There are many factors that must be taken into consideration when placing the campers in the dorms.

What is the Key Deposit?
$175.00 Key Deposit Form will be required from each residential camper. Your payment for the Key Deposit will need to be turned in prior to check-in on the first day of camp. You will not be able to check-in without having this Key Deposit on file.

Will I receive notification that I've been accepted into the camp?
Yes, a confirmation email will be sent to you immediately following registration, or within 7 days of receipt if mailed in. If you haven't received a confirmation email, please email us at camps@stanfordsoccer.com so we can begin investigating the problem.

What is the Tax ID Number associated with the Stanford Soccer Camps?
Our Tax ID Number is 94-1156365
